The results are in! (and you thought it would take FIVE weeks---Ha!)
I PASSED the Food Handler's Manager Certification with an overall score of 95.6%!!! That should please the Department of Health! Not only that, but Majestic Chili officially opens its "doors" one week from today. Can it get any better than this? Oh, yes! Chili JoGee and I are going on a field trip Monday to see the new digs: Mama's Small Business Kitchen Incubator, where the almost-famous chili will be prepared!!!Break out the oyster crackers!

It's actually quite similar to carrying a child: the "experts" are often in disagreement with each other; and short of touching your stomach, complete strangers are known to offer up advice. Not to mention the emotional roller coaster: a moment of elation followed by a stomach-churning drop!
Let me sum it up like this: Certainly, it's a happy occasion; but at times you'll want to cry, and sometimes you just want to throw up!
What a relief! Took the food handler's certification test today. Yea! Now all we do is wait...(cue the crickets...) It may take up to FIVE weeks for the results!!! What??? Yea, that's what I said.
Otherwise things are moving along: paperwork, test batches, government stuff, and more paperwork. All in the name of good health, taxes, and chili!

"Majestic Chili" is officially registered with the county recorder of Los Angeles!!! I, meanwhile, am hard at work, studying for my food handler's license. Things are progressing quickly! Majestic chili will be featured in a farmer's market near you...if you live in Northridge or Chatsworth, that is! Thank you Melissa, Kayla, and Alexa for all of your assistance!
